I’m honored to make Amorphous Studio’s debut at the 61st Pasadena Showcase House of Design with The Arcadian Sanctuary, a reimagining of the Primary Suite within the historic Baldwin Oaks Estate. Inspired by the home’s Craftsman architecture and early 20th-century Czech and Viennese design, I envisioned a sanctuary that feels layered, timeless, and deeply connected to nature. Rich green walls, a luminous gold ceiling, hand-painted wallcoverings, curated California artwork, and refined materials create a space that celebrates the estate’s history while embracing modern California living.
It’s especially meaningful to be part of an event that has been giving back to the community for more than 75 years. Since 1948, the Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts has raised more than $27 million to support music education, scholarships, youth programs, music therapy, and the LA Phil’s educational initiatives. Every visit to the Showcase House helps preserve this extraordinary tradition of philanthropy, making great design part of something even greater.
