This was a remodel to an existing house built in 1960. We brought in natural light and a feeling of openness to this otherwise dark house through changing ceiling heights, adding skylights, using brighter wall colors, and adding newer cabinetry and tiles. A further sense of openness was created through the orderly use of artificial lighting.
